This position would involve the daily takeoffs of plans and estimating construction costs for projects.

• Interpret drawings and complete scope of works required to complete the construction works for the build project
• Carry out site inspections as required in order to interpret plans properly
• Send out contractor packages for pricing
• Speak with contractors to ensure they understand the complete scope of works to be priced
• Complete build quotations in stated timeframes
• Prepare Bill of Quantities for review by director
• Obtain and collate all contractor pricing and compare against allowances
• Negotiate with contractors for best possible pricing
• Find and present suitable contractors for tender process based on best pricing and quality
• Prepare, liaise, evaluate and deliver detailed quotes for project tenders
• A strong understanding of the estimating process from start to completion
• Provide tender costs to match client required tender breakdowns
• Analysing of drawings and specifications including creation of take offs
• Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labour costings
• Provide detailed cost breakdowns for procurement of successful tenders
• Understand contractual terms and conditions of successful tenders
• Understand and respond to the requirements of variation costings to support Contract Management teams
• Strong knowledge and experience of all Microsoft Software highly regarded ensuring all documentation relating to the project is provided to the Site Manager and Team
• Knowledge of estimating software packages highly regarded
